Buy Booq, Never Look Back: A Customer Service Story

For Christmas 2009, my mother-in-law gifted me a laptop shoulder bag that I had added to my Amazon Wish List. It wasn't just any laptop bag, it was a Booq Taipan Shadow. Having previous experience with using a Booq bag at my previous job, I developed an affinity for the quality of craftsmanship and durability of a Booq. Funny thing though about getting the laptop bag as a gift was that I didn't have a laptop at the time, but hoped to have one in the not-so-distant future.

Finally, I Get A Laptop

In Spring 2010, I traded some website design work for a first generation (MacBook Air)[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacBook_Air] from a long-time client and friend. I was thrilled to finally have a laptop so I could put my Booq bag to good use properly.

Fast-forward three years to January 2013, and my Booq bag had seen some serious use. I traveled everywhere with it, and as such, the bag started to show a little wear-and-tear. One day, I noticed that the lining on the large, front flap had come unraveled, and the tubing was exposed. I didn't think much of it at first, and felt I would have to accept it as normal wear-and-tear. Then I remembered that I had a five year warranty.

Booq Makes Good on Their Word

Sure enough, after contacting Booq, and sending a picture of my bag, along with proof of purchase (thanks Mother-In-Law), they gave me credit toward the purchase of a new bag in their store.

I ordered the largest model bag in the same Taipan Collection, the Taipan Shadow XL. It's a beautiful bag that still looks brand new almost an entire year later. I wish I could link to the bag on their site, but they’ve discontinued the Taipan Collection.

Booq Believes in Customer Service

Booq held up their end of the five year warranty, providing incredible customer service that’s every bit as good as their products. They've made a life-long customer out of me, and I can safely say I will never own another brand of laptop bag.
