My Spoiler-Free Review of Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania

It should have been called Ant-Man and (the Original) Wasp: Quantumania. Jonathan Majors had incredible moments, but I wanted more about Kang. We’ll probably get it in another film.

Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp/Hope could have been left out and substituted with any number of characters already in the film. Maybe I’m remembering wrong. I love her character, and wish her part was bigger. Maybe we’ll get more of her in something else.

The Quantum Realm needs it’s own Disney+ show. So many good characters (and actors) with interesting relationships playing small roles. I’d love a Quantum Realm back story about everything leading up to Quantumania.

Michael Douglas looks like a bad ass in his Quantum Realm attire. He’s pushing 80 (at the time of this writing) and has incredible hair. Michelle Pfeiffer’s (Original Wasp)/Janet had a bigger role than I was expecting. I loved the backstory implied and briefly explored in monologues. If they could get her on my Disney+ show it would be a success.

Cassie was great. Her compassion for others is 100% inline with my daughter. I really related with relationship between her and Scott.

I’d give this movie a 6.5/10.
