Squarespace iPhone App Coming Soon

Squarespace is giving away 30 iPhones in 30 days via TwitterSquarespace has this awesome contest to give away 30 iPhones in 30 Days via Twitter. What I’m excited about is the Official Squarespace iPhone app coming soon.

Being an employee of Squarespace has it’s perks and I’ve had the pleasure of using a beta version of the Squarespace iPhone app. All I can say is that it blows the living bageezus out of any other blogging client available for the iPhone. Seriously. It’s like having Squarespace in your pocket. Makes me feel all warm and squishy inside just thinking about it.

If you want to do a little mobile blogging (known as moblogging to geeks) from your iPhone then you are going to want to get this app. If you are not one of the lucky 30 people to win an iPhone then do yourself a favor and go buy one! The Squarespace iPhone App makes the cost of the iPhone totally worth the money.

is there going to be a cost (or perhaps a price bracket) for the app? when will then become now?

Hi Wootbeer,

Unfortunately, Squarespace doesn't announce new features and their release dates prior to our releases. We do announce all service changes via our service blog at: http://service.squarespace.com

Hope this helps!

Hi Jason,

I know how you feel. Believe me though, the development team is working their butts off on this and it's going to be awesome. Well worth the wait.

I'm actually going with the people who say squarespace has pulled the app due to problems. No single app has taken this long to approve. Jeez, if I had know that in squarespace terms "coming soon" meant a year or five I'd have never been paying them all these months based off hype.

I know Squarespace has a reputation for fanatical quality but come on this is crazy. There is an old saying "The best is the enemy of the good". Take a lead from every other software company. Release a basic version 1.0 and innovate on the fly.We don't need much just blog posts, with photos and a push live/draft function. Then give us all the sexy stuff in v2 to v 23. Squarespace are at a serious competative disadvantage at the moment.

So does anyone have any real info about the situation? Is there a problem with the app? Or with Apple? Any ideas when it's going to released... Other than "soon".
